Leigh Caraccioli

Leigh Caraccioli

Leigh is so incredibly humble. The bio that she submitted says:

“Mostly I’m a storyteller armed with a camera, a big heart and a penchant for social media. People are stories. Shooting weddings, personalities and their personal brands for fleur de leigh photography makes me a very lucky girl.”

She is a gift to Dayton, Ohio. She is a world-class photographer but you won’t hear her say that. She is amazingly creative and inspirational…and if she reads this, she will probably blush and argue that she’s not all that. But she is — all that.

You can view her work at Fleur de Leigh Photography batcave.

Follow her awesomeness on Twitter @Fleurdeleigh.

Cory Earl!

Cory Earl

An up-and-coming business professional in Dayton, Ohio, Cory recently earned the position of Advertising Executive at the Dayton Business Journal where he works as a catalyst to help businesses effectively grow their market share and exceed both their short-term and long-term advertising goals. Working largely with top management and C-Level executives, he is instrumental in many of their strategic decision-making processes.

A little background
Cory moved to Dayton to attend Wright State University in 2003 after graduating from Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, Ohio. Shortly after picking a major (history – that didn’t last…) he made the decision to join Delta Tau Delta at Wright State. Once initiated, he studied the foundations of the fraternity, particularly the business aspect of the organization (i.e. – recruiting, executive meetings, planning events, etc.) which led him to change his major to marketing. From there, Cory became a well-known member of both the educational community as well as the social community joining such organizations as the Raj Soin College of Business: Marketing Student Advisory Board, and the Wright-Patt Credit Union: Young Adult Avisory Panel.

Working his way up in the fraternity world, Cory rapidly rose to the Director of Recruitment, eventually becoming President of his respective chapter of Delta Tau Delta. At the same time he was nominated and accepted the office of President of the Inter-Fraternity Council at Wright State, a council that governs all fraternities on campus. Nominated for Outstanding Senior of the Year in 2009, he was very involved in campus-life and left his mark at the University as a trusted and influential student leader.

Let’s hear some hobbies
Cory enjoys golfing, bowling, basketball, pretty much any and every sport. He enjoys spending free time with his wife Emily, and daughter Evelyn Grace – the two most important people in his life ☺

He loves networking! Find him with groups like New Media Dayton, Generation Dayton, Dayton Creative Syndicate and the Dayton Chamber of Commerce among others.

Leah Moon

Leah Moon

I’m an ’08 grad of Ohio University. I love Cleveland sports, coffee and organization. My interest in social media began when a good friend introduced me to Twitter. At the time I was on the fence about it, but have found it to be useful in my professional and personal life (I was an original attendee of the Tribe Social Deck!). My favorite thing about Twitter is connecting with people across the world who understand it and love it for the same reasons as I do. It’s an especially cool experience meeting these people in real life.

I spent some time after college in New York where I got my first exposure to SEO and helped educate the agency where I interned on social media. I was a part of the social media committee where we introduced how it could be used for business. Last year, I moved to DC to work in digital PR helping science, medical and health clients on their digital initiatives. I led my team on our client’s social media efforts, establishing their brand on Twitter and helping them become a leader in the industry. Currently, I am the social media specialist at Universal 1 Credit Union. I advise the company on social media policy and operations and create, plan and implement all of their social media campaigns.

I’ve lived in the Dayton area my whole life, but am rediscovering its hidden gems. I am a member of Generation Dayton, a group for young professionals in the Dayton area and the PRSA Dayton chapter. I help Generation Dayton with its marketing efforts and serve on the Executive Committee of the New Professionals section of PRSA.

For random thoughts that range from sports, music, social media, TV and movies, follow me on Twitter @starmoon or connect with me on LinkedIn.

A no nonsense, fluff free, “unexpert” marketer and social media therapist who’s making a difference one business owner at a time. I am a New Jersey native currently hailing in the great State of Ohio with a passion (addiction) for all things digital.

I am a diversified marketing strategist with 13 years of sales and business development experience. Currently, I am working as Marketing Director / Social Media Strategist for Sunbelt Business Advisors of Miami Valley — part of the Sunbelt Network, the largest international Business Brokerage firm with over 250 offices worldwide. This role has allowed me to get knee deep into the latest communication trends, embrace them and help our firm to become more relevant in a fast changing business climate. In addition to my role at Sunbelt, I am a consultant for several companies in Dayton and the voice and insight behind many Non-Profits across the region. As a member and volunteer, I am currently working with the Dayton Tool and Manufacturing Association (DTMA), The Greater Dayton Advertising Assoc., March of Dimes Miami Valley Division and the Dayton Chapter of the American Marketing Association to efficiently capture their vision and mission, as well as drive membership to these great organizations by vivifying their social media strategies. My philosophy is simple, “Engage. Not to replace your traditional marketing efforts, but rather to reinvent them as well as your brand. Your relevance in an evolving business climate depends on it. Social Media provides a limitless bridge to make direct connections and it is these relationships that will determine your success. Engage. Connect. Succeed.” Or more simply put, “relax, its just talking”.

Dayton is a great city and one which I have made relationships that I will value throughout my career and lifetime. New Media Dayton is a high energy, tech savvy group and when all in a room together – conversation becomes an art form. I can be heard or tuned out daily on Twitter – @shanadouglas whichever you prefer ;) or my Blogumentary at digitalseamstress.weebly.com.
