There can be no denying the power of collaboration, particularly when it comes to working toward the greater good. What happens when you combine that power with the power of the media, whether social, print or any other form? Amazing things happen, that’s what!
Betsy Westhafer, founder of the newly-launched HalfBackDayton, has assembled a panel to discuss how to make things happen through effective partnerships, focused media outreach and a community-wide impact initiative. Joining Betsy will be Yvette Kelly-Fields of updayton, Candice Hunter of My Media Hunter, and Christy Mauch, the Director of Operations at Better Business Bureau. The discussion will be facilitated by Michelle Kingsfield of WDTN Channel 2.
As a testament to the power of media, we are conducting an experiment with New Media Dayton prior to our February meeting. If HalfBackDayton gets 500 Likes on their Facebook page between now and February 10, we will have a drawing to give away $100 each to five local nonprofits. The eligible nonprofits will be nominated by the attendees of the February meeting.
